Leanne Allinson Class

LAYOUT ONE : "Super Fun"

1. Trim white cardstock to 8.5"x11". Trim the black/white large script (Scattered Sprinkles McIntosh) to 8.5"x10.5". Trim black/white triangles (Ice Starz) to 4.75"x8". Ink all edges with charcoal/black ink. Trim yellow hello script (Pocket Full of Posies) to 4.5"x7". Ink all edges with pinecone/brown ink.
2. Layer the black/white large script, centred to the cardstock. Layer the black/white triangles centred to the black/white large script, at the top of the page. Layer yellow hello script on top of the black/white triangles allowing a 0.5cm border on the left side. Adhere all layers.

3. Overlap the yellow hello script on the right side, with your square 4"x4" photo. Allow a slight angle with the top left corner of the photo rising higher than the right. Once in position, adhere to layout.

4. Trim the yellow & white polkadot (Scattered Sprinkle Bell Pepper) patterned paper to 3"x3.5". Cut a notch on the wider side to create a pennant. Tuck the top edge of the pennant beneath the black/white triangles on the right and central to the photo above.

5. Trim the turquoise scallop border sticker to 20cm and centre it on your page using the lower edge of the black/white triangles paper as your guide.

6. Take the grey notebook page from the Max ephemera pack and adhere it to your page adjacent to the photo. Allow the lower edge to overlap the turquoise scallop border sticker. Fold and distress some of the tabs at the top of the notebook page.

7. Trim the yellow hashtag border sticker to 21cm - I trimmed it at the letter "k" in work. Layer the border sticker on top of the grey notebook page and your photo leaving a small border of black/white triangle paper to show between the two border stickers.

8. Layer the yellow/white date circle and the black heart from the Max ephemera pack. Adhere it to lower left corner of your photo. Allow it also to overlap the yellow border sticker and the grey notebook page.

9. Title work. Using the black alphas from the sticker sheet (Scattered Sprinkles Treasures&Text), spell out your title in a line above the date circle embellishment. Allow the title to overlap your photo if needed. Trim the word "fun" from the navy star (Surf N Turf Starz) patterned paper including the small star at the end of the word, and adhere it below the black alphas. NOTE: The navy star patterned paper will also be used as the main patterned paper for the second layout.
10. Add a foam dot to the black/white star sticker from the white alpha sticker sheet (Lucky Starz Treasures&Text) and layer it to your layout overlapping the date circle, your photo and the yellow border sticker. Add a second grey star from the black alpha sticker sheet, to the right of the first star and on top of the turquoise scallop border sticker.
11. For the final star embellishment, layer one of the turquoise star stickers to some leftover white cardstock.  Allow room to trim a white cardstock border around the outside edge of the star. Trim and adhere the turquoise star to the left edge of the yellow & white polkadot pennant.

12. Finish the embellishment cluster with an arrow sticker that points towards your photo.
13. Add a yellow photo corner sticker to the top left corner of the yellow hello script patterned paper. Complete your layout with a small  splash of black paint directly on top of the photo corner sticker and the yellow & white polkadot pennant.

14. To do at a later date: Add your journaling strips to your pennant and a hand stitched border of black embroidery thread along the inner edge of the black/white large script.

LAYOUT TWO : "Lucky Day"

1. Trim white cardstock to 8.5"x11". Trim navy star (Surf N Turf Starz) patterned paper to 8.5"x10.75". Trim large triangle (Bell Pepper Starz) patterned paper to 4.6"x7.5". Lightly ink the edges with pinecone/brown ink. Using the off cut of the black/white large script (Scattered Sprinkles McIntosh) from the first layout, trim into two (2) pieces at the 6" mark.  Note: the two pieces should measure 3.75"x6"; 3.75"x4.5".

2. Layer and centre the navy star patterned paper to the white cardstock. Adhere. Layer the  black/white large script 3.75"x4.5 directly on top of the navy star paper, with the top left corner of the 4.5" length, 1" from the top of the patterned paper.

3. Taking the large triangle paper, adhere to layout, 0.5" from the top of the navy star paper and 2mm from the right edge. Overlap the first black/white large script piece of paper.

4. With the second piece of black/white large script paper, layer on top of the large triangle patterned paper with the shorter edge (3.75") being placed at the top of the layout, 1mm from the navy star inner border and 1cm from the outer edge of the white cardstock on the right side.

5. Add your 4"x6" landscape photo to the right side of the layered paper cluster. Trim a single orange triangle and adhere it directly to the first completely visible grey triangle, second row from the top, on the large triangle patterned paper.

6. Title work.  Trim the words "Lucky" and "Day" from the off cuts of the reverse side of the navy star paper. Include the small stars on each side of the word.  Adhere to the lower left corner of your photo and patterned paper cluster.

7.  From the white alpha sticker sheet (Lucky Starz Treasures&Text), add the blue "Love You" heart to the left edge of your photo and beneath the fussy cut word "Lucky". Also from the white alpha sticker sheet, add the small orange star on your photo's edge, tucking it under the end of the word "Lucky". Add the orange word strip sticker "it's a great day" below the fussy cut word "Day" and the grey photo tab next to it.  Layer the "everyday" word strip from the Max Trinkets (small sticker sheet) above the grey photo tab and at the end of "Day".  To finish this embellishment cluster, fussy cut two grey stars (Scallop Starz) and put one aside.  Add the first grey star to overlap the edge of the large triangle paper and above the letter "u" in "Lucky".

8. Using the orange  "super awesome" circle from the white alpha sticker sheet, adhere it to the lower right edge of your photo.  Allow it to overlap both the photo and the black/white large script patterned paper. Trim the navy banner from the small sticker sheet leaving a small border around the actual sticker.  Remove the backing paper from both sections of the trimmed sticker and adhere directly on top of the orange circle.  Use the words on the orange circle to help with alignment.

9. Add a date with your date stamp in black ink to the "date:" sticker found on the white alpha sticker sheet.  Adhere it below the orange circle onto the black/white large script paper. To finish this embellishment cluster, add a small light blue circle sticker above the orange circle and overlapping the photo edge.

10. At the top right of your photo, adhere the navy "amazing" file tab from the Max ephemera pack tucking it below the actual photo. Adhere the remaining fussy cut grey star to the file tab edge, on top of the photo and use a hashtag sticker from the alpha sticker sheet to layer both the photo and the file tab.

.....................................
11.  To do at a later date: Journaling.

On a piece of left over white cardstock, type up/hand write/print out your journaling. I typed mine onto the excess piece of cardstock from this layout and then trimmed it to 4.5cmx10cm.  Adhere your journaling on the right side, below the paper cluster.  Add a staple and the orange word quote sticker strip.
Finally, machine stitch in white thread, a single border around the inside edge of navy star patterned paper.

LAYOUT THREE : "Oh Boy"

1. Trim white cardstock to 8.5"x11". Trim the yellow & white polkadot (Scattered Sprinkle Bell Pepper) patterned paper to 8.25"x10.75". Adhere the patterned paper to the cardstock.

2. Trim the large triangle patterned paper to 7.5"x7" and the yellow hello script patterned paper to 7"x1.6". Adhere the large triangle patterned paper (with the 7" side as the top) onto the yellow & white polkadot paper, approximately 1" from the top.  Leaving a 5mm gap, adhere the yellow hello script paper (again with the 7" side as the top edge) below the large triangle patterned paper.

3. Title work. From the black alpha sticker sheet (Scattered Sprinkles Treasures&Text) spell out your title "Oh Boy" and adhere to the yellow hello script paper strip. Add a turquoise word strip beneath most of the title, but allow it to overlap the end of the yellow hello script paper. In the space above the word strip and at the end of the title, add a green pennant flag from the small sticker sheet.

4. Fussy cut the word "Happy" from the reverse side of the left over navy star paper (Surf N Turf Starz).  Adhere it to the top right corner of the large triangle patterned paper. Layer the fussy cut word with a green word sticker from one of the alpha sheets. Below the "Happy" word, add the "love you like crazy" black/white sticker and a small turquoise circle "&".

5. Add you first photo (3"x4") to the top left of the large triangle patterned paper, adjacent to the fussy cut "Happy".  Add the second photo (3"x4") below the fussy cut word and sticker cluster, leaving a small 5mm gap between the photos.

6.  Using the remaining turquoise scallop border strip, adhere approximately 3mm from the edge of the large triangle paper and 3mm below the first photo to overlap the second.

7. Using the deer head tag from the Max ephemera pack, adhere the top half of the tag to your layout, overlapping the lower edge of your first photo, the left side of your second  photo and the lower edge of the large triangle patterned paper.

8. Using the green circle sticker from the white alpha sticker sheet, place half of it on the deer tag, just below the scallop border. To finish off the layout, add a black pennant flag from the small sticker sheet below the second photo and tucked under the deer tag.  Have the notch facing right.  Add a small black word strip to the lower left edge of the first photo.

....................................
9. To do at a later date: Machine stitch with white thread, a single border around the inner edge of the large triangle patterned paper.
